FOX Sports Mobile (FSM) is a sports news information service for mobile phones. It is a complete redesign and reengineering of an original service developed by ActiveSky.
The redesign brings both a greater breadth and depth of information to the end user. This includes detailed statistics and standings, game summaries, and more. I created design sketches, wireframe diagrams, a detailed outline of the information architecture, and was also responsible for developing the shipping J2ME client application.
The J2ME client was developed from the ground up with a custom UI framework to provide a consistent look and feel throughout the application and across different handsets. Although there is still significant room for further enhancement, I believe it successfully improves upon the user experience of the original service.
